On Sunday the 20th April the Milkwood 21k race takes place. It's a beautiful route, so I propose that we use the race as a Sunday run.
The half-marathon starts at 07h30 at the Soetwater recreational area just south of Kommetjie. There's also a 10 km race starting from the same venue at 07h45. Online entries close on the 16th, but one can also enter on the day.
If you intend running Milkwood, I advise that you avoid the traffic buildup and parking problems by getting there early. The easiest way to the Soetwater area is to take the road from Fish Hoek or Ou Kaapseweg towards Kommetjie, passing Imhoff's Gift on the right. Just after Ocean View, turn left and go up Slangkop Road, and where this road intersects the Kommetjie - Scarborough road, cross straight over, that is, head for the crayfish factory. Soetwater is about 4 km from the intersection.
